For our Sociology class, we are doing a blog about the looking glass self and how it effects people every single day. The looking glass self is basically thinking about how others see you. Taking a step outside of your head and thinking about how others are looking at you. Some people have trouble dealing with this because they feel like people are judging them. So check it out!

Magazines are a really good example of the looking self theory. I myself look through magazines for ideas about how I could possibly change my look. I do this because I'm obviously concerned with how people look at me.
